Booking and Bail in California

Whether a person has been arrested for domestic violence, DUI, DWI or any other offense the process is the same. Persons taken into custody by the Marina Del Rey Police or Sheriff's Department will be held at either the Marina Del Rey Police Station Jail, Sheriff's Station Jail or will be transfered to the Los Angeles County Jail (IRC) and will be kept there until their first court date called the "Arraignment." Bail is allowed to be posted in any facility 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.

Before a bail bond is turned in and accepted, the arrestee must pass a background check through "Live Scan", which is a machine that is linked to a county, state and national database. That database will notify the authorities of any possible holds, warrants, or aliases that might prevent release or increase the total bail amount of an arrestee. Once the results of the Live Scan come back from the various government agencies, that person is then "cleared" to bond out. At this time, a jailor will review and accept a Bail Bond for an arrestee and release them on the Bail Bond.

From the time a Bail Bond is turned in, it takes between 30 minutes and 3 hours for a release depending on the facility where the person is being held. Release times do vary based on the workload of the Marina Del Rey jail's staff as well as the type of facility. Once out, a person will need to complete his or her part of the paper work, take a picture, and make sure to show up to each and every court date thereafter.

More about c

In addition to being bail bonds agents we are proud members of the Marina Del Rey community.

Marina del Rey is an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County on the coat of California. It has an estimated population of 8,176 residents and its Fisherman's Village offers a view of the areas dominant feature; Marina del Rey has one of the largest man-made small boat harbors in the nation, with 19 marinas and the capability to hold up to 5,300 boats. In 1997, the Los Angeles Times wrote that the harbor was 'perhaps the county's most valuable resource.' The total area of Marina del Rey is measured at 1.5 square miles, with only nine-tenths of a square mile being land, the other 0.6 being water. The history of the area dates back to the mid 1800s when it was little more than a salt mash used by duck hunters and not many others. Many referred to the area as mud flats, but today it would more properly be referred to as wetlands. The area had been visited a number of times, starting in 1916, with the idea of turning it into a commercial port. The first, in 1916, by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineering determined the economy of the area to be impractical, then in 1936, the U.S. Congress ordered a re-evaluation of the area, and the Army came back with a much more favorable report, however, the harbor concept never panned out due to funding going to the Port of Los Angeles. In 1953, the area was given funding, but the project was in danger near completion due to a winter storm between 1962-1963. Even with the damage, the marina was completed April 10, 1965 with a total cost of $36.25 million. The area of Marina del Rey has the second most restaurants per square mile in the Untied States only falling behind New York. Some notable locations in the area include the Burton W. Chace Park where the annual Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series is held every Thursday and Saturday, June through August. Due to the fact that the area is unincorporated, it is governed and serviced by Los Angeles County under the management of the Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors. The areas lands and waters are leased out by the county to private leaseholders on long-term agreements. The area is also served by the Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles Sheriff's Department in case of emergencies.
